Discovering what you truly want for your life, again and again, in more subtle shades and deeper layers each time.
Doing an Annual Review is simple - here’s a few questions to get you going:
1. Preparation
• Set aside time and a quiet space for your review.
• Take notes of ideas/ projects/ goals that come up to get them off your mind.
• What areas of your life do you want to gain clarity or inspiration?
• How do you want to feel?
• Set a deadline for your review.
2. Capture
• What were your favorite songs/photos/videos?
• What was your favorite reading?
• What were your favorite notes?
• What were your favorite courses?
• What was your favorite travel?
• What were your favorite events/milestones?
• What are you most grateful for?
3. Organize + Distill
• What was your biggest surprise?
• What risks did you take?
• How would you describe last year?
• Which aspect was most challenging/most easeful?
• Where did you invest your time? Where would you have liked to invest more or less?
• Who were the most influential people in your life last year?
• What were your top 3 wins for the year?
• What were your disappointments from the year?
• What are the biggest lessons you’ve learned?
• What are you letting go of?
• What advice would you give yourself?
4. Express
• What brings you the most joy? (Do more of that)
• What's an undeveloped talent you want to explore?
• Who or what are you most committed to loving/serving?
• What are you looking forward to learning?
• Choose a word or phrase as your theme this year
• Which goals will you commit to this year?
• What are your immediate next steps to make them happen?
• What new habits do you need to adopt/bad habits do you need to eliminate?
• What would you like to be your biggest win? What would make this year your best year ever?
